Wilton resident Mitch West, a four-time World Championship Triathlete, is appearing at a Q&A session in Greenwich on Thursday, July 7, in advance of the IRONMAN Lake Placid, one of the Northeast’s most challenging and highly anticipated triathlons that takes place at the end of July.

Many local athletes are making their final preparations for the Lake Placid challenge. West is a coach with EHS TRI / GTC, a premiere triathlon racing team with an endurance studio and team activities based at Elite Health Services in Old Greenwich. West is a well-known athlete who has captured countless local titles along with this World Championship accolades.

During the information session, West will offer tips on a variety of topics, including how prep for the IRONMAN, how to transition quickly off the bike to the run, what to eat on race morning, and more.

Also available for training advice will be EHS TRI / GTC Coaches Jon Stellwagen, Clare Zecher and Steve Kurczewski, who combined have raced eight Ironman Triathlons. Afterward, EHS TRI  / GTC will host a quick practical on how to change a flat tire. Bring your wheel, spare tubes, a tire lever and pump/CO2 cartridge.

The general public is invited to this free event. Light refreshments will be served. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday and will take place at Elite Health Services, located at 1445 East Putnam Avenue, Second Floor in Old Greenwich.
