The Town of Wilton has adopted the new COVID-19 Isolation Guidelines that were released last Friday, March 1 by the Centers for Disease Control and also adopted by the CT Department of Health.
This updated recommendation states that those who have COVID-19 should stay home until they have been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours, or their symptoms have been improving over a 24-hour period.
This official COVID-19 isolation recommendation is in line with the CDC’s guidance for managing other viral respiratory diseases including influenza and RSV. For any questions about these changes in Wilton, residents can contact Quaisha Andrews, MPH, RS, Wilton’s Assistant Director of Health/Sanitarian at the Wilton Health Department, via email.
