Wilton High School will hold graduation exercises for the Class of 2017 on Saturday, June 24, and approximately 338 seniors are set to receive diplomas. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., in Memorial Stadium, if the weather holds.

Tickets are not required for family members or other spectators if the ceremony is held in the stadium, and seating is available on both ‘home’ and ‘visitor’ bleachers. In the case of inclement weather, however, graduation will be moved to the Zeoli Field House, and each graduating senior is limited to eight guest tickets (which can be picked up in the guidance office through Friday, June 23). School officials will make a decision at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, and announce the location on the Wilton High School website.

If the weather holds, this will be the first year that graduation is held on the new artificial turf field. Students and attendees have been asked to wear only flat-soled shoes or wedge heels, that will not possibly puncture or tear the turf; high heels are not allowed. Students who will be on the turf are required to follow this instruction; parents, family and guests are asked to also be aware.

Graduating students are required to attend a mandatory graduation rehearsal on Friday, June 23 at 1 p.m. in the Clune Center auditorium; caps and gowns will be distributed after rehearsal ends at 2:30 p.m.. To receive caps and gowns, students must have met all outstanding obligations, including textbook costs, library fines and parking fines.
