Wilton High School Theatre kicks off the season with Shakespeare in Love, the romantic comedy based on the 1998 film of the same title. A young Shakespeare is out of cash and ideas, when he meets his ideal woman and she inspires him to write one of the most famous stories of all time. Shakespeare in Love is a delightful imagining of Shakespeare’s possible world and the calamity of Elizabethan theatre. The show is based on the screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard, and adapted for the stage by Lee Hall with music by Paddy Cunneen.

The show runs Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.

The show is being staged in the Wilton High School Little Theatre (395 Danbury Rd.).

Tickets are $15 for seniors and students, and $20 for adults, and can be purchased on the WHS Theatre website.

The cast and crew of Shakespeare in Love include:

Tallulah Alder, Nicole Allers, Marcus Bassani, Ishaan Bherwani, Ben Cannavino, Charlotte Cates, Harper Crawford, Will DeBernardis, Emily Durkee, Lily DeMasi, Sophia DeVito, Haldan Dickinson, Quinn Dickinson, Katherine Duke, Emily Durkee, Grace Fanelli, Gabby Fermin, Sofie Gibboney, Taylor Halfacre, Ellery Helgesen, Zach Helgesen, Evan Johnson, Emma Kong, Lucia Kwei, Julia LaBant, Kokona Layne, Mateo Lennon, Finney Leonard, Alex MacDonald, Finley MacDonald, Darcie Mayell, Kara Mobyed, Madison Morin, Ellis Nichols, Maria Paschalidis, Maddy Passaro, Allison Pham, Alex Piazza, Charlie Purcell, Gavin Rafferty, Keira Rafferty, McKenna Rooney, Julia Richards, Alex Shiue, Nick Somma, Nevah Suman, Mia Timnev, Noah Van Den Heuvel, Leila Ward, Hayden Zapotosky and Sophia Zheng.
