If you ordered citrus from the Wilton Kiwanis Club, the orders are now available for pick-up. Fruit can be picked up at ECS Transportation facilities (the former Goetjens Moving and Van Lines warehouse) across from Wilton High School at 390 Danbury Rd..
Pick-up dates and times are:
Friday, March 6: 12-5 p.m.
Saturday, March 7: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, March 8: 12-5 p.m.
If you missed the order deadline to reserve your citrus, you can still buy cases of grapefruit, oranges and tangerines at the ECS Transportation facility. Kiwanis accepts credit cards and PayPal, and 100-percent of the proceeds benefits local charities.
The Wilton Kiwanis, founded in 1951, purchased and donated the land for the Wilton Y and Little League Baseball fields; money for the creation of the History Room and renovation at the Library; Home Care Pediatric Center at the Comstock Community Center; Wilton’s first ambulance, vehicle and equipment, for Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps; and more. Last year the Wilton Kiwanis donated to 19 local charity organizations who helped people in need.
Your purchase buys more than just Fresh Citrus; it helps make you a civic minded contributor to many things that make our community a wonderful place to live and work.
