To the Editor:
Greeting customers in the blazing sun during the third weekend in June, Wilton Kiwanis Club members collected $10,625 in cash and gift cards for the Wilton Food Pantry to support our food insecure neighbors.
Led by President-Elect Jerry Sprole, Kiwanis members and friends served the community: Carol Boehly, David Gortz, David Sklar, Day Shields, Bill Mathews, Frank Mabley, Mike Safko, Mary Anne Franco, Whitney Janeway, Donna Peterson and Joe Fiteni. Many served multiple shifts with Mike Safko (pictured here) surviving four shifts!
The Wilton Kiwanis Club has been collecting donations for the Wilton Food Pantry during each quarter for more than a decade. Total donations collected during the first half of 2024 was $22,632.
