For the start-of-year, quarterly Wilton Kiwanis Club “Feed Wilton” food drive, members greeted customers at the Village Market and Stop & Shop to collect donations serving the food insecure through the Wilton Food Pantry.

Kiwanis volunteers collected $12,500 in cash and gift cards. Averaging more than $40,000 in donations annually, this was the strongest first quarter drive in memory.

This was a remarkable demonstration of support by the Wilton community for those who depend on the Wilton Food Pantry for their nourishment as well as by the Kiwanis members who stepped up to serve to solicit funds.

A total of 16 Kiwanians volunteered to help, many serving multiple greeting shifts, including Tom Connors, Ross Tartell, Mike Safko, Ray Moskow, Colin Christ, Suzanne Verrilli, Day Shields, Jack McFadden, Dave Gortz, Bill Mathews, Mike Whitted, Mary Anne Franco, Bill Brennan, Carol Boehly, Whitney Janeway and Mike Boscaino.
