Tickets are now on sale for Wilton Library‘s “Decades” Spring Gala Fundraiser to be held on Friday, April 4, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the library. Guests will honor the library’s 130th Anniversary as they celebrate the past decades, coming together for a festive party and helping raise valuable funds.
“The Decades Spring Gala, our largest fundraiser of the year, continues the library’s mission of connecting with our community while celebrating our rich traditions started 130 years ago. Our hope is for guests to enjoy a lively evening in a creative atmosphere with a focus on fun,” Wilton Library Executive Director Caroline Mandler said. “Music will play a big role in the event, for we know how powerful music can be in connecting us and transporting us to different times and places. The community demonstrates their love for the library every day. In turn, we are planning a night for guests to be welcomed into the library’s familiar spaces with surprises around every turn.”
The library is planning a celebration featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, an elegant sit-down dinner, a live DJ and dancing, a silent auction, a wine pull, a paddle raise, and more. Nostalgia will fill the air as partygoers travel through time starting with the Roaring ’20s, cruising through the ’50s and ’60s, doing the ‘70s hustle, flashing back to the ’80s, and partying like it’s 1999. Dancing to music will transport guests to another time and the festive atmosphere will feature iconic items that defined earlier days.
Tickets are on sale now at $225 per person and may be purchased online or by contacting Marie Demasi via email or by calling 203.762.6323. Registration is required prior to the event and the library is unable to accommodate walk-ins. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend. Attendees are invited to dress in their favorite Decades attire.
The library is currently accepting sponsorships for Decades. Visit the event site for details.
