Wilton Library will be holding a Sidewalk Book Sale during the Wilton Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. As the only “book store” in town, the library’s sidewalk book sale is the place to go for beach reads, gardening, travel, biographies, DVDs and CDs, and books for toddlers through teens as well. This summer fundraiser is another important way in which residents can support the library, all while finding great bargains.
As it happens, this year during the Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair, the library will be featuring, “Get Booked! – A Local Author Showcase,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the library. People will be able to chat with more than 20 authors in an informal setting during this open house. Some local favorites will be returning including Betty and Doug Jones, Rob MacArthur, James King and Jack Cavanaugh, among others. People will be able to meet the authors, purchase their books and have them signed during the event.
