This Saturday, June 24, Wilton Little League‘s 12 year old District team will begin their campaign on the road to Williamsport, PA. League officials and fans will wish them good luck and cheer them on. As part of the opening game, Wilton Little League will take a moment to pause and remember Lisa Bogan, Wilton Little League’s long time administrator.
Bogan, who served as the administrator from 2003-2016, sadly passed away last fall after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
Officials will unveil a plaque that pays tribute to her dedication and devotion to Wilton Little League.
“Lisa embodied everything that is great about youth sports. She enjoyed seeing the players learn to love playing baseball and softball. Her impact on this organization helped to grow it into the thriving program it is today,” says Bob Louzan, president of Wilton Little League, who adds that the plaque is “a small remembrance of her big contribution to Wilton Little League.”
The opening game begins at 12 noon, at the Wilton YMCA baseball fields. Wilton takes on Norwalk in the season opener.
