For the 2025 Wilton Municipal Elections, GOOD Morning Wilton asked all candidates to submit a 150-word bio; candidates running for the Boards of Selectmen, Finance and Education and the Planning and Zoning Commission were asked to sit for a video interview and submit an 800-word op-ed. Amit Vohra is an accomplished leader in financial services, with extensive public and private sector experience. At American Express he currently oversees product strategy for domestic and cross-border payment solutions catering to SMB and corporate partners. Amit’s professional journey includes management consulting experience at Kearney and Accenture Strategy, focusing on Strategy, M&A and cost optimization for prominent financial institutions. Amit holds an undergraduate degree in computer engineering and an Executive MBA in finance.
A proud member of the Wilton community, Amit has resided here since 2017 with his wife Monica and son Aadi, a Wilton High School graduate. Amit’s short but significant past experience with Urban Planning and Development Authority, coupled with a natural curiosity for learning, enables him to offer informed perspectives on zoning matters. Outside of his professional commitments, Amit enjoys time with family and maintains an active lifestyle that includes squash and golf.
