Last Friday afternoon’s robbery at the Fairfield County Bank in Georgetown was captured by security cameras, and now Wilton Police are releasing photos and asking the public to help identify the suspect.
On Friday, Feb. 24, at approximately 2:58 p.m., Wilton police dispatchers received a report of a bank robbery in progress at the Fairfield County Bank located at 941 Danbury Rd. in the Georgetown section of Wilton. Officers responded and discovered that a lone male had entered the bank and demanded cash. There was no weapon visible or threatened and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Wilton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in attempting to identify the pictured suspect who is believed to be white male approximately 5’8” – 5’10” tall. The suspect was operating a 1997 green Honda Accord (pictured).
Wilton Police Officers were assisted by Weston, Redding and Ridgefield Police Officers. There were no injuries sustained in this incident.
