What does your journey of faith call you to be? Regardless of your identity, age, gender, upbringing, socioeconomic status, political viewpoint or religious background, we hope to walk alongside you as you grow your faith and journey toward that which God has created you to be.
Thus, we invite you to explore your faith alongside the members and friends of Wilton Presbyterian Church. Our upcoming Advent and Christmas Eve services are wonderful ways for you to experience the radical hospitality we share at WPC as we welcome the Christ child and share in the hope, love, peace and joy our faith brings.
Winter Solstice Service
Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.
We will gather for a quiet Christmas service on this Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. While Christmas is exciting and filled with parties and celebrations, we recognize that loss, fatigue, or simply the need of a moment of peace in the midst of chaos can be a welcomed moment in the season. Our Winter Solstice service offers space for that peace. This is a gentle, contemplative, 40-minute service including a homily, music and candle lighting ritual for remembrance and hope.
The Fourth Sunday of Advent
Sunday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.,m.
We will light the candle of Peace this coming Sunday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Jessica Jones will preach, with a message of peace that will provide a beautiful intro into the Christmas week. Childcare for infants and toddlers as well as church school for older children are available.
Christmas Eve
Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m.
Family Friendly Service: Join us for Carols and Candlelight. Horns, flute, organ will join the WPC chancel choir. Regardless of your age, you will find moments of connection as well as opportunities for reflection and celebration as we worship, sing and herald the birth of Jesus Christ.
Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 10 p.m.
Carols, Candlelight and Communion: Our later service begins with celebration, featuring an “Irish Trio” of instrumentalists, and concludes with silence. In between, we sing familiar carols, hear the Christmas story and share in Holy Communion with one another.
We hope to see you this coming week and wish you a very happy holiday season.
