Each week the Wilton Town Clerk’s office releases data for the prior week’s real estate transactions. For the period from Dec. 31, 2020 through Jan. 7, 2021 there were 10 properties that changed hands. The land transfers recorded in that time (including address, sale price, and photo where available) are listed below.

Notable among the recent sales was 187 Danbury Road, an office complex located on the corner of Danbury Road and Wolfpit Road (at one time, the headquarters of Dun & Bradstreet). One of the corporate owners of the property sold its portion of the property for $10,650,000. The property was last appraised in 2018 for $21,055,700.
The Class A, multi-tenant office space on nine-plus acres is described as having a full-service café with garden seating, a fitness center with locker rooms, onsite security, covered parking, and a full building back-up generator, among other amenities.
Another major sale was the former estate of jazz musician Dave Brubeck at 221 Millstone Road, including a mid-century home designed by architect David Thorne on a five-plus acre lot, along with two (of five available) other adjoining parcels.
The buyer was legendary guitar player Smokey Hormel, who recorded 5 albums with Johnny Cash, and has also worked with Neil Diamond, Justin Timberlake, the Dixie Chicks, Josh Groban, Kid Rock, Norah Jones, Rufus Wainwright, David Lynch, kd lang, Adele and others.
In three transactions totaling $4.125 million and nearly 11 acres, Hormel acquired:
- 221 Millstone Road, for $2,500,000 (5.27 acres)
- 87 Hickory Hill Road, for $1,375,000 (3.05 acres)
- 67 Hickory Hill Road, for $250,000 (2.38 acres)
The 6,200 square foot home at 221 Millstone Rd. has eight bedrooms, an indoor pool and Japanese-inspired gardens and ponds.
Of course, the home also includes a music studio, which features 20-foot ceilings, soaring windows and sliding doors to a patio.
As for the other properties that changed hands, all but two had selling prices over $1 million.

150 Cannon Road: Ninemacs, LLC, to Christopher Odyniec and Laura Masotti, for $1,600,000
176 Range Road: Deborah A. Vancura to Thomas and Colleen Hanley, for $1,180,000
148 Drum Hill Road: John P. Bergen and Dorothy E. Medeiros Bergen to James P. and Linda G. Burstein, for $1,460,000
159 Cannon Road: Zini Construction, LLC, to David and Melanie Riker, for $1,349,000
