Key Highlight: The one commercial sale last week was 24 Danbury Rd., between Better Environments LLC and 24 Danbury Road LLC, for $2,750,000.
The property is located near the intersection of Danbury Rd. and Kent Rd., just south of the Little Pub restaurant. The 12,500-sq.ft. commercial building currently on the site is home to retail tenants including a spa and laundromat, a children’s resale clothing boutique and salon, as well as the office for PuroClean of Wilton | Ridgefield.
Better Environments is owned by Wilton architect Douglas Cutler, who came before town land use boards in 2021 with an 8-30g affordable housing proposal for a mixed-use building with 89 residential units (15 studio, 47 one-bedroom and 27 two-bedroom residences) on five floors above 3,700 square feet of grade-level retail space; the proposal included plans for grade-level parking for 100 cars.
While the proposal never moved forward, the recent commercial listing for the property did include architectural renderings for Cutler’s original 8-30g proposal.
