  1. As this article confirms, we’ve left Wilton. The proximate cause is my wife getting a new job in the city, but anybody who’s read anything I’ve written here the last few years would be correct in thinking this was a long-held aspiration of mine.

I hope Wilton eventually comes around to the idea of higher density and more generous school budgets – and that you also eventually get it into your heads that the festering cultural problems in the schools are not due to inadequate disciplinary codes but rather because Wilton is an exclusively-zoned town full of rich white people – but it is, at any rate, no longer my battle. I am heartened to see that there are more people making these sorts of arguments now than there were a few years ago, and urge all of you – including those who have told me you secretly agree with me but have been too shy to speak up – to continue the fight; in a town this small, a single voice can have a huge impact.

    Peace out,

    Michael Love

    1. @Michael, I’m new here and not as outspoken but I’ve generally agreed with your views. You’re right though that this is a small town and even a single voice can make a difference. I’ll try to carry on in what ways I can. Good luck to you.
