Wilton is holding a Republican Primary today, Tuesday, Aug. 12 in all three voting districts from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., as part of the statewide primary election that day.

On the ballot (sample shown below) are candidates running for the Republican gubernatorial, Lt. gubernatorial and comptroller races. There are no contested primary races for any local legislative candidates.

The two candidates vying for their party’s endorsement as the choice to challenge incumbent Democratic Gov. Dannel Malloy, are Tom Foley (pictured above, left) and John McKinney (right).
