The Wilton Chamber of Commerce‘s 4th Annual Scarecrow Fest is officially up! With 32 different scarecrows hanging from lampposts around Wilton, the town has kicked off local Halloween celebrations. New this year, participating businesses, organizations, clubs and families were asked to design their entries around a theme of movie & television characters.
A panel of judges will award top honors to five winning entries, which will be announced at the Pumpkin Parade + Trick-or-Treating this Saturday, Oct. 25th at 12 p.m., at the Gazebo on the Town Green.
But YOU also get to help choose one award. GOOD Morning Wilton, along with the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, is inaugurating a “People’s Choice Award.” We’ve posted pictures of ALL the scarecrow contenders in an album pinned to the top of our Facebook page. All you have to do to vote for a scarecrow is “Like” its picture. The scarecrow with the most ‘likes’ will win!
You can vote for as many of the scarecrows as you like, but you can only click ‘like’ once for each scarecrow. And only the likes on the actual picture in the album will count. But encourage your friends to vote and be sure to spread the word. This is one town vote for which we hope to really get a lot of participation!
