The impending snowstorm predicted to bring 6-10 inches to Wilton tomorrow, (Thursday, Feb. 9), already has school officials calling off classes and cancelling a scheduled Board of Education meeting.

According to an announcement from the superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith, Wilton Schools will be closed and classes cancelled on Thursday. The regular Board of Education meeting will not be rescheduled and instead the board will move agenda items–including discussion about the 2017-2018 budget–to the next meeting on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m..

With classes cancelled, the last scheduled day of school now moves to Monday, June 19. That date won’t be finalized, however, until later in the spring when the chance for additional snow days and cancellations is unlikely.
