Due to projected snowfall, Wilton Schools will dismiss early today, Tuesday, Jan. 31.

The call came from Wilton Schools superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith at 5 a.m. this morning.

Dismissal times are:

Wilton High School and Middlebrook:  10:30 a.m.
Cider Mill School:  11:30 a.m.
Miller-Driscoll School:  12:30 a.m.

Jackson Dill, who forecasts the weather for GOOD Morning Wilton as part of his Jackson’s Weather service, predicted yesterday that the early dismissal was likely. His weather forecast for today notes the following:

“The morning will be cold and mostly cloudy, but then the light snow will begin to move in around noon. Initially, roads should be fine because of how light the snow will be, but then that snow may get a bit heavier during the mid-afternoon and evening. Roads–especially secondary ones–may turn white. The snow will continue during the first half of Tuesday night, ending around midnight.

It remains to be seen if snow will affect Wednesday’s commute or school start time., predicts a 25% chance that there will also be a delay on Wednesday morning, but that remains to be seen based on the official call from Smith.
