Here are just a few of the reasons we love the game and encourage everyone to play:

Movement and fresh air!

Soccer provides children of every age the space to run and move freely. It is a perfect activity for growing bodies and curious minds. Players enjoy all the benefits without the burden of complex rules or cumbersome equipment and of course, all soccer activities are amidst fresh air on the beautiful fields of Wilton!

Friendships and fun!

Soccer gathers groups of children to have fun, learn new skills and make new friends.  These relationships among teammates, coaches and their families carry on well beyond the soccer field for years to come.

Participation Before Competition

All kids, no matter their skills or interests, are welcome in Wilton Soccer. Focus at the recreational level especially is on participating and enjoying the game. There is an age and opportunity for competition to be a parallel objective, but for many, just being a part of a team is the victory!

Quality Time

Soccer brings players and their families out for fun weekday clinics and weekend games right here in town. Weekday clinics are managed by professional coaches to ease the burden on busy parents with consistent schedules and structure. Weekend games are managed by parent volunteers providing opportunities for parent mentors and children to share in the experience. Oh yeah, and occasionally a coffee or ice cream truck appears on the scene!

Sportsmanship and Values

Early youth soccer experiences teach important and lasting values. Players learn to respect the game, their teammates, coaches, referees and all others. They learn the value of their efforts, to have humility in success and to show grace in failure and to always try their best and to try again. Each session and game ends with a round of high fives ensuring enthusiasm for their next practice, game and season.

So join us!

We are just weeks away from another fun Wilton Soccer Association season.

First clinics and games are the week of Sept. 1.

Registration for the K-2nd leagues will close soon as teams must be formed, coaches must be assigned and uniforms must be ordered. Don’t miss out!

Wilton Soccer is also running fun “pre-season” camps the week of Aug. 18 for all ages. Days and times are structured around Wilton Public School’s “Meet the Teacher” days when most families are back in town from summer breaks. Check out these opportunities on the Wilton Soccer Association website
