The following are press releases from the Town of Wilton.

Scribner Hill Rd. Closure and Alternate Routes

Scribner Hill Rd., from the intersection of Blue Ridge Rd. and Scribner Hill up to house number 103 Scribner Hill Rd., is closed because of the dangerous, unstable conditions created by the recent storm. Current estimates predict that repairs may take until summer 2025 to be completed. Below, a town-issued map shows the affected portion of the road and alternate routes to use via Hulda Hill Rd., Olmstead Hill Rd., and Danbury Rd./Rte. 7.

Police Department Mistakenly Sends Old Emails

As part of technology system maintenance and upgrades being made by the Town of Wilton, the Wilton Police Department website issued several old e-alert emails to residents. Emails were dated from 2019-2022, but the were not current.

Lamont Authorizes $5 Million Micro-Grant Program for CT Small Businesses

In the wake of the historic storm that recently hit Western Connecticut, Gov. Ned Lamont and the CT Department of Economic and Community Development have created a micro-grant program for small businesses and non-profits impacted by the flooding. Organizations in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties with fewer than 100 employees may apply for funding up to $25,000 to help defray recovery costs, including those associated with cleanup efforts, replenishing lost inventory, and replacing equipment.

Applications open on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.

Visit the website of the Women’s Business Development Council, a nonprofit group administering the grant on behalf of the state, for more detailed information.
