The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WVAC) is currently celebrating its 40th year serving the Wilton community.

As part of this celebration, WVAC is hosting a party and BBQ on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 12 p.m. at Merwin Meadows for all WVAC members, past and present, and their families.

“Since many of our former members over the past 40 years have either moved, changed their phone numbers, or emails (which didn’t even exist way back then), we have no way of contacting some of them,” explains WVAC community relations and special events coordinator, Brian McDermott,

They Corps is hoping to track down as many members as possible, and is asking not only any former members reading this to reach out, but also Wilton residents and past members who might still be in touch with former members to relay the details.

WVAC will provide food, beverage, and entertainment, and attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the Merwin Meadows pond and beach, volleyball courts, soccer fields and playground. In the event of inclement weather, WVAC will provide a tent to protect from any weather elements. There will be no life guards on duty in September.

Anyone wishing to attend the event needs to register online. For more information or questions email Brian McDermott.
