The National Weather Service has set a Winter Weather Advisory for Wilton to begin at 6 p.m. Sunday evening, Feb. 2 through 7 a.m. EST on Monday morning, Feb. 3.
The advisory calls for snow, with expected total snow accumulations between 2- and 4
inches. Areas of impact include northern Fairfield County as well as northern Middlesex, northern New Haven and northern New London Counties.
According to the NWS advisory, the bulk of the snowfall is expected to fall within a three hour period between 7 p.m. Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday. The precipitation could potentially end with a brief period of freezing drizzle.
Motorists should plan on hazardous and slippery road conditions, which could impact the Monday morning commute. Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling, and to check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
