The Wilton Y Wahoos had more than 75 age group swimmers who qualified to swim in the four-day state championship meet held at Wesleyan University, March 12-15.

The 10-and-under Wilton Y Wahoo swimmers from Wilton who participated in the age group competition included:

Whitney Hess (17th, 100 yd. fly)
Anya Iyer (20th, 100 yd. fly).

The 11-12 year old age group Wilton Y Wahoo swimmers from Wilton included Emma Babashak, Caroline Crampton, Catherine Crampton, Olivia Crisafulli, Rory Hess, Ellen Holmquist, Avery Newcomer, Rita Roberts, and Matt Schaller.

Finishing top 20 among these 11-12 age group swimmers were:

Emma Babashak (8th, 500 yd. free; 10th, 200 yd. free; 8th, 50 yd. fly; 3rd, 200 yd. fly; 8th, 200 yd. IM; and 5th, 100 yd. fly),

The 13-14 year old Wiltonians representing the Wilton Y Wahoos were Morgan Dill, Jackson Dill, Dylan Flanagan, Liela Hastings, Brooke Kelly, Christian Larsen, Natalie Larsen, Jack Lewis, Ryan Looney, Taylor Loud, Matthew Martin, Richard Nolan, and Madeline Pennino.

Achieving top 20 finishes in this 13-14 year age group were:

The Wilton Y Wahoos finished second overall in the Age Group State Championships. This meet wrapped up the short course season for a majority of the of the Wilton Y Wahoo swimmers.
