The weather for the new week (Oct. 31 – Nov. 6) ahead will be beautiful overall, featuring lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures, although it will still be on the chilly side at times. There is also some rain in the forecast, which will continue to help improve the ongoing severe drought conditions.

Monday, Oct. 31:  The weather on Halloween will be almost perfect. It will be nice and dry under sunny skies with gusty winds at times. It will be much cooler compared to last weekend, however, with high temperatures only in the low 50s. When you’re out trick-or-treating in the evening, it will be even cooler with temperatures in the 40s, so be sure to have a coat under your costume, but at least it will be dry.

Tuesday, Nov. 1:  It will begin to gradually warm up again starting Tuesday, when temperatures will be closer to average in the mid 50s. The bright skies will still be out with mostly sunny skies in the forecast.

Wednesday, Nov. 2:  As we get into the middle- and latter part of this week, it will be warmer, both in the mornings and afternoons. On Wednesday morning, you’ll be waking up to temperatures in the mid 40s compared to the freezing temperatures we’ve felt recently. It will remain beautiful on Wednesday, featuring sunny skies and a few afternoon clouds.

Thursday, Nov. 3:  Thursday is the day within the next seven days when the chance for rain is at its greatest. In the morning, expect sun and clouds and even warmer morning temperatures. Progressing into the afternoon, the next cold front will push through overnight, leading to the chance for light rain showers in the afternoon and evening. This rain will only add up to a quarter of an inch, however, so even though this rain will be nice to have, it won’t help too much to substantially improve the drought. However, Thursday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 70 degrees!

Friday, Nov. 4:  The work and school week will finish off very nicely. On Friday, it will be cooler compared to Thursday, but it will actually be close to the average high of 57 degrees. In terms of weather conditions, there will be abundant sunshine.

Saturday, Nov. 5:  Now we’ve made it to the weekend and the weather is looking very nice. It will definitely feel like fall with cool temperatures in place. On Saturday, expect partly cloudy skies with the slight chance for a shower.

Sunday, Nov. 6:  A stray shower may still linger on Sunday, but there’s only about a 10-percent chance for rain. Otherwise it will be a lovely day, featuring a mix of sun and clouds and chilly conditions. The winds will blow a little lighter on Sunday, so today  will be the better day to rake the constantly falling leaves.
