We thankfully avoided taking a hit by Hurricane Matthew last weekend, but we still got some much-needed rain from Matthew’s moisture in Wilton. The weather this week (Oct. 10-16) will be gorgeous, featuring fall-like weather conditions and lots of sunshine following a cloudy weekend.
Monday, Oct. 10: On Monday, which is also Columbus Day, it will be beautiful with plenty of sunshine, although it will be another chilly and windy day. Temperatures will only be in the mid 40s to begin the day, warming to around 60 degrees later, accompanied by winds which may gust up to 25 mph in Wilton.
Tuesday, Oct. 11: Temperatures will gradually increase as the week progresses, so on Tuesday, it will be several degrees warmer in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. Wilton kids are off from school Monday through Wednesday, so they get lucky with the very nice weather in store.
Wednesday, Oct. 12: As we move into the middle of the week on Wednesday, the weather remains pretty much the same, featuring cool mornings and mild afternoons in addition to expected sunny skies.
Thursday, Oct. 13: Thursday looks to be the nicest day of the week and will be the warmest out of the seven-day stretch. Temperatures will be about five degrees above average with a forecast high of 70 degrees. It will still be nice and bright with a mix of sun and clouds.
Friday, Oct. 14: The week closes off very nicely on Friday where you can expect lots of sunshine and pretty mild temperatures for this time of the year in the mid 60s.
Saturday, Oct. 15: Now we get to the weekend and the big question probably many of you will ask is what will the weather be like. The GOOD news–unlike last weekend, the weather to close up this week should be fantastic, with a classic fall weekend and mostly sunny skies anticipated for our Saturday.
Sunday, Oct. 16: Today will be a sunny Sunday with gorgeous, deep blue skies and temperatures in the low to mid 60s. It’s great weather to view the fall foliage, which may get close to peaking around this coming weekend.
