Wilton’s American Legion Post 86 held the Installation of Officers ceremony at the Post on Tuesday, July 13. This is the traditional ceremony that charges each of the new or re-elected officers with the duties of their position.
Newly-elected just three days prior, Department (state) Commander Jeff DeClerck was the installing officer, in his first official installation. He was assisted by designated Sgt.-at-Arms Mike Kellett.
Pictured in the article’s main image (above) are Post 86 officers (L-R): Commander Paul Niche; Sr. Vice Commander and Adjutant Tom Moore, Jr.; Vice Commander Alex Ruskewich; Finance Officer Sean McNeill; Chaplain Frank Dunn; Judge Advocate Don Hazzard; Sgt.-at-Arms Jeff Turner; and Service Officer Bob Mecozzi.
