Winter Storm Quinn cleanup got you down? Dive into spring cleaning and make room in those closets for some new jeans and help out neighbors in need all at the same time. Wilton boutique “B” CHIC, voted Moffly Media’s Best of The Gold Coast “Best Jean Boutique in Fairfield County” for six years running, is hosting a “Give Back to Get Back” Jean Drive to let you get rid of the old and welcome the new and on-trend.
From Sunday, March 11 through Thursday, March 15, B CHIC will take gently-used women’s denim jeans for donation to The Community Closet in Bridgeport, Open Door Shelter in Norwalk, and other organizations in Fairfield County that serve clients who are dealing with homelessness and poverty.
“The reason I decided to do this jean drive is because I would like to give back, especially to women in need. Millions of people experience homelessness or some kind of loss, and one item I feel everyone can wear is jeans. It’s very practical,” says B CHIC owner Erica Malhotra.
Jeans are an ideal item to donate, according to DoSomething.org, a global non-profit organization with the goal of motivating young people to make positive change through campaigns that make an impact. “[Jeans] can be worn multiple times between washes, can be dressed up or dressed down, and provide a sense of normalcy to the person wearing them,”
Malhotra agrees, knowing how universal the effect a great pair of jeans can have on everyone.
“Jeans make you feel good, are simply chic and effortless! [As a bonus,] if you look good, you will feel good!”
The “Give Back to Get Back” Jean Drive is win-win for everyone. B CHIC will take up to three pairs of gently used women jeans. Bring in one pair for 10% off, two pairs for 15% off, and three pairs for 20% off one regular-priced pair of jeans. Discounts can be redeemed through March 31, 2018.
Malhotra hopes the jean drive will become an annual event.
Some of the denim brands B CHIC carries include Citizen of Humanity, Hudson’s, Paige, Mavi, J Brand, Joe’s, Lucky Brand, and 7 For All Mankind.
B CHIC is located at 78 Old Ridgefield Rd. in Wilton.
