This year’s National Day of Prayer is scheduled for Thursday, May 3, and Wilton resident Adrienne Reedy is Fairfield County’s area coordinator. She has scheduled the observance that day to start at noon in the Wilton Library’s Brubeck Room.
“Some people view it as a political thing and I don’t. I call mine ‘Prayer for the People by the People.’ I try to get people to come together in prayer for the concerns that we all have in common. We pray for marriages, families, children, people dealing with abuse, mental illness, addictions etc. We pray for our police officers, EMTs, firefighters, first responders, etc.”
The event is hosted by Reedy’s weekly prayer group and lunch will be provided.
