Last week was unsettled and this week (May 29-June 4) will continue that trend with time of clouds and showers. At least it will be milder with temperatures overall back into the 70s, which is quite normal for this time of the year.
Tuesday, May 30: On Tuesday, the clouds will continue to remain stubborn like it’s been during most of the Memorial Day Weekend. Temperatures will still be below average in the mid 60s, which is balmy in comparison to the 50-degree temperatures we just had on Monday. There is also the slight chance for a shower or storm in the afternoon. It seems like this entire spring has been cloudy. I don’t remember there being many sunny days this season.
Wednesday, May 31: Speaking of sunny days, the sunshine should finally return on Wednesday. It will still be mostly cloudy in the morning, but by the time the afternoon comes calling, we will all be saying, “ahhhhh…,” as the sunny skies make a big comeback. It will also be warmer with a high of 75 degrees. Also another shower or storm can’t be ruled out.

Thursday, June 1: Thursday will be the pick of the week that you’re going to want to enjoy, featuring mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s, which is right where we should be for this time of the year.

Friday, June 2: Unfortunately, more rain returns on Friday to end the week. That rain will come in the form of showers during the afternoon. The entire month of May has been so unsettled for the Eastern two-thirds of the county, and it seems like it’s going to remain on the wet side heading into June.
Saturday, June 3: Those showers may continue into our Saturday as a frontal boundary stalls over the New York City area. As I was just saying, the pattern will remain unsettled, so these showers don’t surprise me at all. At least temperatures will be nice at a comfortable 74 degrees.
Sunday, June 4: The trend is our friend, meaning that the weather will stay wet as a new storm may enter the picture heading into Sunday. I’m currently forecasting showers, but as you know the weather changes when you’re forecasting almost a week in advance.
