Wilton Martial Arts Medalists

On Saturday, March 18, students of Wilton Martial Arts, under the instruction of master David Bankowski, won numerous medals at the 2017 Greenwich Tang Soo Do Championships.

A congratulation goes out to the following students who placed in their respected divisions: Tony Wilcox first (forms), third (sparring); Hubert Miszczuki second (forms), first (sparring); Toby Plowright first (forms), first (sparring); Hadley Lineberger second (forms); Dylan Straut third (forms); Jean Marc Cabirol first (forms), first (sparring); Noah Cabirol first (forms); and a great showing by Jack Frieders.

WHS Rec Basketball Champs

On Wednesday, March 22, the boys High School Recreational Basketball League Championship game was played at Middlebrook School. The winning team is comprised of Wilton High School juniors (pictured below, L-R):  Tommy Garvey, Liam Gany, Chris Sweeney, Matt Olson, Andrew Beecher, Peter Delfeus and Joel Darkwah.

According to the Parks & Recreation website, “The high school basketball recreational league plays an eight game, regular season schedule, plus single-elimination playoffs. Students in grades 9-12 must form their own teams, and register as a team.”
