One week ago, on Monday, July 18, Wilton High School rising sophomore Tyler Previte  verbally committed to attend Lafayette College to play division 1 lacrosse.

Previte played on the Wilton varsity lacrosse team this pass spring for coach John Wiseman and currently plays on Long Island Express North for coach Chris Schreiber.

“My ultimate goal has always been to play division one lacrosse, and to do so at an amazing school is really a privilege,” Previte says. “The most important factor about the school was the high academic standard. Hearing about how every single one of coach Rogalski’s players in his four years of coaching secured a job before their senior year really sold me on the school. The great coaching staff played a huge role in my decision as well, they showed me state of the art academic and athletic facilities that stood out.”

Previte also added some words of thanks to those who helped him reach the achievement:

“None of this would be possible without my parents, who are constantly driving me around to tournaments. I would also like to thank coach Wiseman, coach Pearsall and coach Schreiber and my teammates for making me the player that I am.”
