Ambler Farm has named their new Flemish Giant rabbits! The doe (female) will now be known as Daisy (pictured above) and the buck (male) is named Baloo (pictured below). They are large rabbits – they weigh about 18 pounds each and are approximately 2 ft. long.

More than 200 names were considered for all of Ambler Farm’s new rabbits. The Farm’s apprentices and mentors voted on the names.

Ambler Farm has also revealed the names of some of their other new rabbits, including Squirrel, a doe dwarf rabbit, Freckles, a doe mini rex rabbit (speckled rabbit), and Rex, a buck full-sized rex rabbit.

The rabbits are just some of the new animals that will be integrated into Ambler Farm’s Summer Program. Others include new ducklings and turkeys, which will arrive next month. Children enrolled in the program will be able to interact with the animals, in addition to other activities that include harvesting food, hayrides, crafts and more. Spots are still available for the program and registration is available on Ambler Farm’s website.

Visitors are welcomed and encouraged to stop by the farm and visit the rabbits and other animals any day of the week. Ambler Farm is open to the public 365 days a year, until sunset.
