Sam Schmitt and Kate Meehan, 2015 Wilton High School graduates, were recently presented with the Raymond-Ambler Award for exceptional service to Ambler Farm. Schmitt and Meehan logged approximately 2,100 and 1,800 hours at the farm, respectively, through their roles in the farm’s apprentice and mentor program.

In addition to helping run many aspects of the farm and to supporting programs and events, Sam built garden and animal structures and Kate has served as an animal caretaker and maple sugaring evaporator instructor.
