UPDATE: 8:45 P.M. Power will likely get shut off around 9 p.m. for up to 1-2 hours. This was confirmed by Wilton Police. This is for the affected area surrounding Skunk Lane.
8:09 p.m. Here’s the scoop on tonight’s power outage: we just talked to a CL&P crew on site at Briardale Pl. and Skunk Ln., the problem is on Skunk Ln. A burned out wire is the cause and there may be rolling blackouts in the immediate area through the night as they work to repair it.
Wilton Police confirm that’s where the problem is, and as soon as they have more information they will send out another email blast on their Yahoo emergency group.
An earlier email at 7:30 p.m. alerted residents that 700 CL&P customers were without power and that estimates put power restoration at 4-5 hours.
