BREAKING NEWS, April 19, 2016—U.S. News & World Report came out with its annual ranking of U.S. high schools, and Wilton High School was named among the “best,” earning a “gold” ranking from the magazine for 2016.

Within Connecticut, WHS ranked 7th out of 193, and was one of only 11 gold medal schools in the state; it was listed as number 386 nationally.

Of the other high schools in the DRG (district reference group), only two others were ranked higher in CT:

  • Weston (4th)
  • Ridgefield (5th)
  • Wilton (7th)
  • Greenwich (10th)
  • Darien (11th)
  • Staples/Westport (14th)
  • Joel Barlow/Redding (15th)
  • Fairfield Ludlowe (16th)
  • New Canaan (17th)
  • Fairfield Warde (18th)
