There are two important events upcoming for members of the Class of 2020 (current 8th graders) and their families:

Moving Up to High School:  Preparing to Support Your 8th Grader

Wilton Youth Council’s Project 2020 and the Wilton High School PTSA are hosting a presentation for parents of 8th graders on Wednesday, April 27, from 7-9 p.m. at the Wilton High School Little Theater. Parents will learn how to provide social and emotional support to their children as they transition to high school. The program will begin with a presentation on adolescent brain development by Liz Jorgensen, a nationally-recognized adolescent counseling expert.  Following the presentation there will be a question and answer session with panelists to address parents’ questions. Panelists will include a Wilton High School social worker, Wilton High School and Middlebrook School counselors, and Wilton High School parents and students.

Admission is free, and registration is not required. For questions or more information, contact the Middlebrook School Counseling Department at 203.762.8388.

SpinRaiser for Class of 2020 PGP

Melding a great social event with a fun way to get fit at one of Wilton’s most popular fitness venues, the Class of 2020 is hosting a spinraiser at JoyRide Wilton. Join fellow 2020 parents at a fun cycle ride to raise money for 2020 on Sunday, May 22 at noon. Each rider is asked for a minimum donation of $35 which can be made the day of the event via cash or check (no credit cards).

Advance registration is required via the JoyRide website. Each rider will need to create (or use) their own customer profile to book a bike, and only one bike can be booked per person. Minors need to have a medical waiver signed by a parent.
