According to Bright Horizons, four out of five car seats are used incorrectly, but proper use reduces the risk of infant death by 71-percent. That’s why the preschool and early education/childcare center in Wilton is hosting a car seat buckling event this Thursday, July 7 at 5-6 p.m..

New and expecting parents are invited to the event to join experts from Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital to learn about safely transporting infants, review safety tips and best practices, and discuss how to best keep young children safe in a car.

The program is offered free of charge and is open to the entire community. Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP via email or on the Bright Horizons Wilton Facebook page.

Bright Horizons at Wilton is located at 7 Godfrey Pl. in Wilton Center.
