The teacher of popular ceramics classes offered through Wilton Continuing Education has made an appeal to parents to consider signing up for before- and after school courses, cautioning that if enrollment doesn’t pick up, some classes run the risk of being cancelled.
The ceramics teacher, Michelle Beyman, has been teaching through Wilton Continuing Ed since 2005. “Three times a year (fall, winter, and spring sessions), I teach hand-building ceramics (& at times, wheel) programs which I introduced: KinderClay, and ClayPlay at Miller-Driscoll, and CiderClay Open Studio at Cider Mill,” Beyman wrote in an email to GOOD Morning Wilton. ” Over the years, I have taught hundreds of students, and I am known to these children as “Mrs. Clay”, “ClayLady” (one word) or “Mrs. B”, as it was sometimes hard for the younger ones to remember “Mrs. Beyman”!
Beyman wanted to encourage parents to sign up for the Continuing Ed classes if they haven’t already. She wrote, “Wilton offers so many great art, sports, music, hobby, language, writing, etc. programs, from which to choose. Due to so many offerings, classes run the risk of being cancelled if enrollment is low. That is for any of the WCE classes (and other locations), not just mine. Classes through Wilton Continuing Ed are going to begin Monday, September 23, which means registration will close by Thursday, Sept. 19 and Friday, Sept. 20. ”
ClayPlay (K-2) is offered Mondays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
KinderClay (Pre-K 4’s & K) is offered Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
CiderClay (3-5) is offered Thursday 2:30-3:30 p.m.
