Temple B’nai Chaim is holding a food drive for local food pantries, including the one in Wilton. Organized by the temple’s religious school, the drive is open to community donations. They are collecting through the month of February, with a final deadline of Feb. 21. Donations can be dropped off at the synagogue during office hours, Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The synagogue is located at 82 Portland Ave. in Georgetown.

On Feb. 23, B’nai Chaim religious school students will be sorting and bagging all of the collected items in preparation for delivery to the local pantries. They are asking that anyone making donations of items to please make sure nothing is past the “best used by” date, as they are unable to use them by law. Items most needed are:
