The Wilton Conservation Commission is hosting a winter walk at Vista Road Park on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.. All are welcome, including dogs on leash.

If there is snow on the ground, attendees should consider bringing snowshoes; the trails are mostly level and wide, and the 36-acre woodland is a special niche among the homes of north Wilton.

There are two entrances to the park. For this walk, attendees should gather along Bald Hill Rd. (turn left off Ridgefield Rd. heading north); the park is on the left side of the road and parking is along the edge.

There will be warm refreshments following the walk. To ensure interested attendees are notified should the weather be inclement and the walk needs to be postponed, the commission asks residents to pre-register via email.
