The Encore Club of Wilton is holding its yearly Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 21. This year, the funds raised will benefit Wilton Social Services, to help Wilton families meet basic needs such as housing, heating, utilities and food. Club officers are motivated by reports from Cathy Pierce, director of Wilton Social Services, that there are continually increasing request for help because of the persistent weakness in the economy. The club’s goal is to raise $3,000 this year.

The Encore Club is a Wilton social club for women with approximately 120 members. It provides an avenue for women of all ages to gather in social settings to establish friendships, to learn, and to grow.
