Every Friday until Election Day, GOOD Morning Wilton will publish Letters to the Editor that we’ve received about the candidates and/or election-related issues. To learn more about our election coverage guidelines and policies, click here.

Please note:  NEW for 2016–Given the national election’s contentious nature, GMW will NOT publish any letters that are negative about the presidential candidates and the national race. We welcome letters written in support of candidates and their platforms. With plenty of other places online and elsewhere to channel negative communication, we’d like to keep GMW free of such rhetoric.

Clinton–Not Guilty of Politically-Motivated Charges, Is More Qualified to be President

To the Editor:

Republicans are finding it very hard to support Donald Trump. So they have resorted to demonizing Hillary Clinton. She has been investigated for years resulting in not a single charge or trial. The truth is that she was not guilty of any of the many politically-motivated charges. Even Michael Chertoff, former Secretary of Homeland Security and the lead Republican counsel on the Senate Whitewater Committee, has just said he would vote for Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is an experienced, intelligent and caring person who is by far vastly more qualified to be President than Donald Trump.

Wilton Needs Boucher to Return to Hartford

To the Editor:

I write to encourage everyone to vote Toni Boucher on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for our State Senator. We need to return Toni to Hartford to continue her tireless advocacy for the residents of our town and state. Toni has been an effective and vocal advocate for us in Hartford and knows that the solution to our state’s dire fiscal problems are not more taxes and government regulation. Toni has fought against new tolls on our highways and the proposed mileage tax and understands that our state cannot tax itself back to prosperity. Please join me in voting for Toni Boucher on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for State Senate.
