Being on the Same Page – How Parents Can Remain Effective Partners When Raising Kids with Special Needs
March 1 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

SPED*NET Wilton will host Todd Kellogg, a licensed family therapist and board-certified behavior analyst, on Wednesday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Wilton Library. Kellogg will discuss how the difficulty of raising kids has increased exponentially along with the challenges of growing up in today’s world. For parents to be successful in guiding their children, setting expectations, and enforcing boundaries, they need to find ways to work together and co-parent in a collaborative manner.
Meeting the challenges of co-parenting is even more critical when kids have special needs. As parents of kids with special needs know, everything is magnified and missteps can be that much more problematic for the child’s development. In this discussion, Kellogg will walk you through best practices of co-parenting, successful communication patterns, and how to bounce back after setbacks.
Registration is required. Register online or call 203.762.6334. For more information, email Andrea Sato.
