As the snow finally starts to melt, it’s time to start thinking about Wilton’s class of 2015’s Post Graduation Party (PGP). Tentatively scheduled for the evening of Saturday, June 20, this is the annual drug- and alcohol-free, all-night party that is thrown for Wilton’s graduating high school seniors on the evening of graduation.

This year’s party is co-sponsored by the Project 2015 committee (pictured) and the Wilton Youth Council. Designed to bring the entire graduating class together for one final night, students in past years have described PGP as one of the most memorable evenings of their high school career.

The committee, made up of parents of current seniors, has been working on Project 2015 since their children started seventh grade at Middlebrook Middle School. These parents view the PGP as a gift for their children—a way to safely celebrate their achievement of graduation from high school. Each year, the party’s theme is a tightly held secret that isn’t revealed to the students until they receive their hand-delivered invitations in early June (although clues are hinted at in the weeks leading up to the invitations).

Each year, Middlebrook is transformed and decorated by a talented team of volunteer parents. One of the major attractions of the evening is the prize raffle held throughout the evening. The committee is currently looking for raffle gift donations from parents and the Wilton community. Ideas include tickets and gift cards, dorm items for college-bound students, and the always-popular electronic items. Anyone interested in making a donation can email Jenn Lewis or Carla Quigg.

In addition, the Project 2015 committee is looking for local restaurants interested in providing food and drinks for the evening. Anyone interested should email Sandy Shifrin.
