In just a few weeks, the white tents will go up at the intersection of School Rd. and Rte. 7, next to the tennis courts, signaling the start of another Minks to Sinks sale. The largest outdoor tag sale in Connecticut, Minks to Sinks is the best place to find bargains on new and gently used household merchandise and seasonal clothing. The fall Minks to Sinks sale starts on Saturday, Oct. 1, and the more than 200 volunteers who work the sale will start accepting consignments and donations on-site the week before the sale–but there’s an opportunity to get an early start by consigning in your own home.

Consignors who will consign 10 or more items, excluding clothing, at the fall sale can call before Monday, Sept. 12 to arrange for Minks to Sinks volunteers to come to their house and price and tag the items. Consignors can then simply drop off these items at the Minks to Sinks site at their convenience, between Monday, Sept. 26 and Thursday, Sept. 29.

On-site consignments will be held at the Minks to Sinks tents on Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m.; and Thursday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m..  The Minks to Sinks sale opens Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.. Bargain days, when all merchandise is 50-percent off the ticketed price, are Sunday, Oct. 2, noon-4 p.m., and Monday, Oct. 3, 9 a.m.-noon. For more information, and a list of the merchandise accepted for donation or consignment, visit the Minks to Sinks website.

To schedule an in-home consignment, call 203.762.0520, between 9 a.m.-7 p.m., before Monday, Sept. 12.
