Have you found out why GOOD Morning Wilton is purple today? It should be easy to find the reason. If you Find Dory, you can ask her!
We’re purple for the Smith-Magenis Syndrome Research Foundation (SMSRF), which is having a big fundraiser tomorrow morning. Tickets are still available for the family-friendly event, which features a screening of Finding Dory, which opens in theaters today.
SMSRF was founded by Wilton resident Jennifer Iannuzzi, who started it after her daughter Sydney was diagnosed with the very rare genetic condition. It’s so rare there was little to no research done on SMS, and so Jennifer, along with another SMS parent, created a foundation to raise money to support research, awareness and support for other families like the Iannuzzis.
The screening takes place tomorrow, Saturday, June 18 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Prospector Theater. There are plenty of activities for kids in addition to the movie screening. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online.
GOOD Morning Wilton is proud to be a sponsor of the “Lights, Camera, Research!” event. To learn more about SMS, visit the foundation’s website.
