CONGRATULATIONS! Wilton Coalition for Youth Celebrates Steve Hudspeth as Community Champion

Congratulations to Steve Hudspeth on being named the Wilton Coalition for Youth’s November 2025 Community Champion! As part of the #WiltonIsWhereYouBelong campaign, the Wilton Coalition for Youth spotlights one individual each month for their positive influence, work or commitment to the Wilton community.
Hudspeth participates in many different events in the community, through his contributions to local newspapers, participation in the Wilton Interfaith Action Committee (Wi-Act) and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and co-moderation of a series for Wilton Historical Society and Wilton Library.
The Wilton Coalition for Youth is made up of a myriad of organizations, town departments and individuals who serve youth and families in Wilton. Spearheaded by the Wilton Youth Council, Coalition members work together to coordinate efforts aimed at preventing substance misuse and promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of youth and families.
Community members can nominate someone as a Community Champion by submitting a brief online nominating form; each month, Coalition members review nominations and select a Community Champion who is announced in GOOD Morning Wilton.
DID YOU HEAR? Five WHS Cheerleaders March in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Five Wilton High School varsity cheerleaders brought Wilton pep and pride last week to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Abbey Walberg, Anna Reiter, Avery Fischer, Kayla Weisblum and Sophie Krawitz joined cheerleaders from across the United States in New York City for six days of training and preparing for the event. The girls rehearsed three to four hours a day, braving the chilly conditions to bring “Beiber Fever” to the crowd as they performed routines choreographed to the artist’s songs.

Family Fun: ‘TheDisneyPinventory’ Pin Trading Event

The Disney Pinventory presents an afternoon of pin trading fun! Hosted by 26-year-old Wiltonian Emma Keating, this pin trading event will bring together people who love Disney and collectibles.
“I began trading pins on a family vacation at Disney World when I was around 10 and I created a social media around the topic. There’s a big community of people who love collecting, trading and selling these metal marvels. It’s something families can enjoy together, and fun at any age,” Keating said.
Collect and trade souvenir pins of favorite characters and attractions from Disney theme parks — and there are no restrictions on other collections, so it will be a great way to interact with other collectors and acquire unique finds!
The event will be at Comstock Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
