Wilton Historical Society
SKT Mugs are coveted for their charming, whimsical drawings of all manner of flora and fauna. The durable tableware is hand crafted out of high-fire porcelain, silkscreened with original drawings, and detailed with hand painted glaze. Each pottery piece is fired in a gas kiln, resulting in luminous, sturdy wares. These generously sized mugs are extremely popular, and sell out every year! Wilton Library
Wilton Library’s Giving Tree is an annual tradition that stands bright in the gallery each year at this time. The tree is a Wish List of items/materials/programs that the library would like to bring into the collection or provide to the community. Patrons simply pick the item on the special “ornament,” bring it to the circulation desk and pay for it. The item can be purchased in honor or in memory of someone, or to commemorate a special occasion. A lovely gift card is given to the purchaser, who in turn can give it to the person or family being honored. Where possible, a bookplate will be placed on the selected item to highlight the honoree. The item chosen for each category is a representation of what is currently on the tree. Items may go quickly but there are many choices in each category if the first request is not available.
In addition to the Giving Tree, shoppers may wish to take the opportunity to purchase Giving Gelt, thereby giving a donation to the library for an item that will be purchased for the Children’s Library.
Items under $50.00 are represented by the book, Rock and Roll Woman: The 50 Fiercest Female Rockers by Meredith Ochs.
Shoppers also are reminded of Wilton Library’s Holiday Book Sale in which bargains in all price ranges can be found on a daily basis. The Giving Tree, Giving Gelt and Holiday Book Sale run through January 2, 2019.
